Much of the focus on WLANs in health care has to do with security
concerns. But due to the popularity of 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands,
unintentional electro magnetic interference (EMI), rouge access points
and protocol conflicts and wreak havoc with networks. Network Computing
has an extensive article on WLAN analysis,
reviewing a broad armamentarium (including free and open source tools).
Many of the tools discussed would also help in troubleshooting
traditional telemetry bands and WMTS.
