Getting the Most From HIMSS

January 17th, 2007 |  Published in Uncategorized

Big
meetings like the annual HIMSS exhibition provide great opportunities for both
vendors and attendees. Over the next few blog posts, I will be offing up some
thoughts for vendors and attendees on how to wring the greatest benefit from
the next HIMSS conference that’s just one short month away.

It
is the generosity of vendors who make much of the annual HIMSS conference
possible, and of course they hope to invest wisely. In my 20 plus years
attending HIMSS as both a vendor and consultant, key vendor benefits seem to
fall into three areas; moving existing sales prospects towards a close,
gathering competitive information, and generating new sales leads.

Of
course attendees don’t come just to help vendors meet their objectives!
Educational sessions, networking, evaluating solutions for current projects and
scoping out new products and technologies are what will bring most attendees to
New Orleans in February.

And of course no HIMSS experience is complete without attending the Meet the Bloggers event! Check out the details here.
